There are many beautiful parks throughout The Keys. Most are water-based, and some even have underwater parts like John Pennekamp State Park. Many offer great fishing, snorkeling, and beautiful scenery in addition to the amenities like charcoal grills you would expect at a State Park.

Key West

Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park

The Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park, better known simply as Fort Taylor is a Florida State Park and National Historic Landmark centered on a Civil War-era fort located near the southern tip of Key West, Florida.

 

Bayview Park

Green space with facilities for tennis, softball & basketball, plus a playground & picnic areas.

 

Indigenous Park

1801 White Street

Charles "Sonny" McCoy Indigenous Park is a native tree and bird park. Group and individual tours are available with advanced notice. Within the park is the Wildlife Rescue Center that cares for injured wildlife, a wildlife trail and pond, picnic area, and 6 bocce courts.

A great park for families. Playground, and picnic tables next to the beach. 

 

Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park

Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park is a Florida State Park located at mile marker 85.5 near Islamorada. It was a former quarry used by Henry Flagler in the early 1900s to help his building of the Overseas Railroad.

 

 

 Harry Harris Beach and Park

Large play area, shallow simming area divided from the ocean, great for kids.

Curry Hammock State Park

Curry Hammock State Park is a Florida State Park, located along both sides of US 1, starting at mile marker 56.2 on Crawl Key in the Florida Keys.

 

Marathon Community Park

200 Ocean, 36th Street

Great place to take a walk or just hang out for lunch. It has a basketball court, skate park, amphitheater, and play park for the young ones.

 

Oceanfront Park

This park has been newly upgraded and has a great kayak launch and fishing spots on the boardwalk. No beach. New bathrooms.

Lower Keys

Bahia Honda State Park

Park with a public beach, kayak rentals & snorkeling tours to a marine sanctuary, plus a snack bar.

 

Long Key State Park

Long Key State Park is a 965-acre Florida State Park located on Long Key, one of the Florida Keys, in Monroe County, Florida, United States. It is at mile marker 67.5 on U.S. 1, 67400 Overseas Highway

John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is a Florida State Park located on Key Largo in Florida, and includes approximately 70 nautical square miles of adjacent Atlantic Ocean waters. It was the first underwater park in the United States.

 

Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park

The Dagny Johnson Key Largo Hammock Botanical State Park is a Florida State Park, located in the center of Key Largo in the Florida Keys, on County Road 905, one-quarter mile north of its intersection with the Overseas Highway.
